Den Sweeney


Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Den’s passion for photography started at a young age. Growing up, Den watched his father create photos from scratch with the use of film. From there, his love and interest for photography grew. Throughout the years, the medium for photography has transitioned exponentially, and Den’s ability to combine traditional and modern techniques makes his work truly unique.

Den has more than 20 years of photography experience. His work has been featured in The New York Times, NBC10, The Huffington Post, Rolling Stone Magazine, and The National Hockey League (NHL) Network. Den has worked with Grammy-Winning artists, Broadway performers, and Olympic champions. In addition Den has photographed hundreds of people from different backgrounds, giving him an eye for diversity and inclusion.

In his personal time Den enjoys hockey, traveling, and giving back to the community. For more than 15 years, his philanthropic efforts led him to the Canadian Arctic where he documented a Suicide Prevention Project for Inuit Youth. Den continues to foster meaningful relationships and his work is a testament to the fact.
